Bright and Early for the Daily Races... Going Nowhere, Going Nowhere...

Ok, so it is time for me to give my endorsements, the day before what Time has called "One of the most significant elections in the post-Cold War Era". ( I disagree. This election won't change anything in Washington. There are NO new ides being tossed around by the parties. Chalk this one as another up and down swing on the popularity see-saw. R or D, we still lose)

However, I'll make this easy for you guys.

Endorsements: (Remember, I'm from Wisconsin)

WI Governor

Mark Green (R) vs. Jim Doyle (D-inc)

This one is a no-brainer. Admittedly, Doyle came into a mess when he was elected four years ago, but he hasn't helped the situation. Endorsement goes to Mark Green, who did an excellent job serving Wisconsin as a Congressman. Prediction? Doyle 53 – Green 45- Green Party 2

WI Congressional District 8

John Gard (R) vs. Steve Kagen (D)

This one is a little less easy than Green vs. Doyle. Many Republicans were turned off to certain aspects of Gard's personality, but the overall here should make it obvious for people to stick to their guns; Kagen simply does not reflect the values of this district. Endorsement goes to Gard. Prediction? Kagen 52 – Gard 48

WI Attorney General

J.B. Van Hollen (R) vs. Kathleen Falk (D)

Easy. Falk beat a primary opponent (and incumbent) Attorney General who was a pawn for the Doyle administration, and had also been hit with drunk driving issues, as well as illegally using state-vehicles for personal reasons. WI has been hit with two corrupt Attorney Generals in a row, both Democrats. First one was elected governor, second one looks to be replaced by a third Democrat. Wisconsin should give a Republican a chance, as my endorsement goes to Van Hollen. I don't think he will win, though it will be close. Prediction? Falk 51 – Van Hollen 49

WI U.S. Senate

Herb Kohl (D-inc) vs. Robert Lorge (R)

Sadly, this one is also easy. While Kohl's obvious homosexuality and do-nothing attitude in the U.S. Senate has rendered him a completely ineffective and useless (and noiseless) voice in Wisconsin, Lorge is crazy. Not only should Republicans forget about winning this one, they shouldn't even give Lorge the benefit of their vote. A firm rejection of Lorge will inform him that he shouldn't seek public office again. Endorsement: None. Prediction? Kohl 66 - Lorge 34. Even Republicans will vote for a liberal homosexual over a crazy man.

Overall predictions? Republicans lose big. If they barely hold onto both houses, and nothing changes in Washington, they get their pants handed to them in 2008.
