Thoughts on this week in politics...

Firstly, I'd like to say that I'm quite happy that the U.S. Senate has seemingly come to a compromise on illegal immigration which offers illegals NO path to citizenship. Any sort of line-jumping would've been a strong injustice against legal immigrants waiting to come here.

Thumbs...

Down to the Kennedy's. You guys really like to drive while using controlled substances, don't you?
Down to President Bush. Approval below 30%? Yikes!
Up to Duke Lacrosse. Thanks for getting people to actually realize that Lacrosse is actually a sport. Too bad you had to rape a hooker to promote your sport. If its all the same, Mark Chmura says you're all innocent.

Predictions:

Dems gain 10 seats in the House come November
Dems gain 3 seats in the Senate come November
McCain over Clinton in 2008.

Have a great weekend ya'll... and make sure to read our "weekender bloggers", Jeff and Shawn!

-Definitely a good thing. BUT, most of it was sadly I think for political purposes. At least the country finally benefited from their political ambitions… heh. Hopefully.

-If his Father would have been a better role model, instead of wasting his breathe screaming about how Bush is horrible, immoral (laughable) etc., -- maybe Patrick would have been a bit better off. I tell you one thing-- I don't believe that Patrick Kennedy's medical records should be splashed all over the media. I don't believe he should be investigated for three years. And I don't think he should be subjected to leaks about all kinds of crimes that he didn't commit. Yes I am referring to the insane things that went down against Rush. Cynthia McKinney should demand equal treatment, the same thing Patrick Kennedy got -- immunity from the law in Washington, DC. ; )

“Down to President Bush. Approval below 30%? Yikes!”

-Don’t get me wrong with what I am about to say, because Bush obviously has his blunders. I may blog about that soon. Heh. But we're getting presidential approval polls more frequently than we get campaign tracking polls in the middle of a presidential election. I'm wondering if these networks and pollsters are coordinating their work so that every other day we get another doom-and-gloom poll.

-It’s just a race card opportunity that was seen and went horribly wrong. I think they are also innocent. The never-ending coverage of this is sickening.

”Predictions:

-I have to say I don’t think McCain or Clinton will run. I say it will be an Allen vs. Gore and or Kerry ticket. Not sure, just a hunch. Clinton just doesn’t have a chance. I don’t even see her getting the nomination.

There is my share. I had to give some input to this. :)
