Here's whats going to happen:
Step 1: You post crazy random right wing talking points, make a complete fool of yourself, yet somehow still think you win every argument (most likely do to an utter lack of even the most basic comprehension of logical principles)
Step 2: You realize nobody reads this except me, who reads it for humor sake as there's no intellectual value to be found here
Step 3: You abandon (and rightly so) the foolish pursuit of blogging.
What do you say we just skip to step 3 right now and be done with it? You go back to doing whatever it is you normally do (probably sit in dark rooms and think about how much you hate gay people), and I don't have to waste 5 minutes out of my day to come here out of pity and humor. Because quite frankly, while I do enjoy the crazy right wing's endless supply of humor, I can only take so much before I lose faith in humanity.
On the plus side your right on time for the War on Christmas, that's a fun little annual right wing non-story that's always good for a few chuckles. I love when Christians go on about being persecuted in a country they largely run.
So I guess it's alright if you get one or two posts in about how wrong it is that people say "Holidays" instead of "Christmas" because rather than be inclusive to as many people as possible, you think it's persecution if people don't focus their actions on your culture.

Your hate towards this view point is easily seen. It is so lacking in subtlety that it is disgusting.

You really give yourselves far too much credit. I come here for largely the same purpose I go to a large array of sites, to see an opposing view point, and perhaps some slight humorous value. Of course the humor is usually offset by the 'Oh shit... people actually believe this?'
As far as Eric I don't dislike Eric, I think it's unlikely I've ever said more than 3 or more sentences to him.

That's exactly it. I actually found the site again when I was cleaning out my bookmarks, and gave one last click to what... I assumed was a dead blog, and was thankfully surprised when I saw this coming soon post.

I'll say thats fair. I despise illogical arguments. Anyway, it doesn't matter. The point of the original comment was quite simply that you'll make one or two posts devoted to whatever right wing issue has your panties in a bundle, and then this will fizzle out, likely long before the election, and probably before the primaries.
Because again... the only people that will read this is the co-writers (who all largely have the same viewpoint), and me, who... reads it for comedic value. Anyway get on with whatever fear mongering and hatred you intend to spew on this site now.
Five points to make:
1. See the central problem with your comment is obvious. You have characterized/generalized the contributors to this blog (Perspectives) into the same group of folks from the other “large array of sites”.
A group that is unfortunately infected with the same poison that has taken over our generation and made it a self absorbed Internet medium… if I may.
You see the lack of posts (over a year or maybe less maybe more, haven’t checked) on Perspectives is quite easy to explain. I’ll take the leap of faith and also speak for my brothers here. We don’t look at ourselves after blogging and think we are making something of ourselves. Or breaking something that will make people “oh my! And really” I’ll leave that up to Matt Drudge.
We have jobs, we have lives, and we have family and responsibilities. To be able to be on here daily would be impossible. Despite the interests I have taken in your hilariously thrown together comments is one thing. But hell, when you say “you really give yourselves far too much credit” I really believe you need to look in the mirror. It seems you could be the one giving yourself too much credit. THINKING since you said that I (speaking for myself now-brando) would simply read your comments—and say “oh my, he is right. I wasn’t just doing this to throw a viewpoint out there and get some things off my chest. Wow, this guy sure has cracked the clouds in the sky and shown the light on my bamboozlement and I sure need to go to that corner and stop throwing my hateful right wing views out” Who are you? What is the point to your opposing views if its only purpose is to do this? Point out supposed faults of others and put a stage appearance like show to what you feel is your greatness… that is strange to me.
Yet I am still intrigued, is intrigued the word? No maybe I am like you. I am simply occupied at the moment by some “slight humorous value” or maybe its being “offset” by thinking oh man… I actually put effort into this guy? “Oh shit”

If you don’t dislike him… why no more than three sentences?
3. And you’re assuming it was a “dead blog”… and of course being wrong (you’re good at that). And being “thankfully surprised” is kind of strange on your part is it not?
4. If you “despise illogical arguments” and you mean that. Than please tell me (and be honest) that you also despise your comments to a simple post that has now become an entertainment value on my part. Thanks for that by the way.

We blog not to be bloggers but to type out some relief, I should just speak for myself here…this is my “couch” sometimes. Or hell even if we are only communicating between the three of us… why would you have a problem with it?

Because it's very irregular that I've ever been in the same room as him. I didn't go to school with him. My knowledge of Eric is as such {1. He used to work at Fleet Farm 2. His father occasionally runs for various offices 3. He's a conservative christian}. I think I argued with him about evolution online once or something, thats about it.
Well if you want to write just for yourself to "write out", I don't really care? I think you seem to overestimate what I was attempting to accomplish here. I find your blogging endeavor humorous. I have no desire to "shut it down", nor do I care if you continue it.
I don't buy that you do this to "write it out", as thats never been even remotely indicated by any posts in this website. In fact whenever any kind of self-referential "purpose" is given it's always been very public, as some apparent "gathering" of different ideas and encouraging people to respond. Hell the tag line to this site even says something funny along the lines of challenging people to respond, saying you'll "tear them up" or "call them bootlickers". And why preciesly would you write a "Coming soon..." message if the purpose of the site is simply an internal way to "write it out" amongst fellow friends who write here? Wouldn't that be a rather irrelevant message?
I think you're even agreeing with me? My original point was "Hey! I bet you don't keep this up this time!" to which you're response is now basically "Yup, we won't keep this up but I don't care".
My second comment was that you (and here I'm referring to brando, not the other posters, at least not to the same extent) will likely post a barrage of illogical posts. To which... you quite humorously gave a barrage of incoherent comments and then even went so far as to CHANGE the original post to PROVE my point. Bravo sir. Well done.

Ah... no... I think you don't fully understand what "logical" means. My posts have been entirely opinion based in this thread so.. it'd be quite the feat for me be illogical about my opinions. You may disagree with what I say here (obviously you do, since I'm saying you're illogical). You may hold whatever opinion you may. I have no problem if you stand on opinion or principles, even if I disagree with them. It's illogical or inconsistent arguments that bother me.
Wow... I can't wait for a post that actually has some substance behind it, if you got this worked up over me saying no one reads this blog, and some random comments about the 'war on christmas'
Though, to be fair I don't think you've said much illogical since November of last year, so maybe you're right and I "can't predict what will be on here".

This has been so counterintuitive I think I am going to say I am done with this. Yet happy that you took the time to reply and hell, gives me hope that all I have to type out is "Coming soon... all new posts" and This opens up. A darn entertaining outbreak if you ask me.
I'll go ahead and call this one certified, or maybe concluded is a better word. :)
